Here at the Silent Bible Baptist Church we believe in the “Great Commission” (The big order or instruction authorizing a person to perform a duty) given by Christ to his eleven disciples who then gave the commission to the churches of that time and now given to us today. Matthew 28:18) And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19) Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20) Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

God has also commanded us (the local church, and we as individuals) to go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature according to Mark 16:15.

Now then, here is the reason why we go...in John 20: 21...Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you. You see, again he tells the disciples to follow both God and Jesus by example in sending one another to the mission field.

He also commissions us to go to “whosever” (who ever, or anybody)in Romans 10:13-15...For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. 14) How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? 15) And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
